The Lion Roars at Chanel Couture
Guessing what unique centerpiece Karl Lagerfeld will use at each of his Chanel shows is a past-time of sorts among the fashion set. For his Chanel Fall 2010 Couture Collection, Lagerfeld placed a 40-foot gold lion in the middle of Paris’ Grand Palais. The focal point captivated the likes of Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively and Leighton Meester who had a roaring good time in the front row.

Chanel Fall 2010 Couture Collection
Karl Lagerfeld’s creations roared down the runway at the Chanel Haute-Couture Fall 2010 show. The designer presented elegantly adorned pieces embellished with sequins and embroidery, designs were fit for royalty. The wild sophistication of each ensemble spoke to the true nature of the designer’s brilliance. A handful of celebs attended the show, comfortably ensconced in their seats as they eagerly awaited the commencement of the catwalk extravaganza. Spotted in the chic crowd looking gorgeous in Chanel were Jessica Alba and Milla Jovovich as well as Blake Lively and Leighton Meester, who were in town shooting the next season of Gossip Girl. It’s clear that Chanel is taking a regal walk walk on the wild side and we’re totally inrigued.
Jeggings for men
Jeggings was seen hugging many ladies thighs the last year, but it feels like it’s finally is moving out from our wardrobes. To move in to the mens! Skinny jeans on a man is one thing, but jeggings is taking it a little bit to far. Not convinced.

Burberry Military Inspired Canvas and Leather Bags
Following up on their “military inspired” watches comes two bags from Burberry – in stone washed canvas and leather. “First previewed in Milan in January 2010, both bags reference the military direction of the Fall Winter collection. Both bags with washed calf leather and cotton canvas provide the owner with a solid statement piece for fall winter 2010.” Both are finished with leather handles.

Gitman’s Mr. Olberding goes back into the companies sample archive to pull some fabrics from around 1986 which are complemented by that “Jungle Collection” which keeps popping up on the radar. BBB | Barbour “Nylon International” Jackets Spring 2011
More form Barbour at BBB. Based on the Barbour Bomber suits of the 70’s the new International jackets in Nylon help the brand celebrate 75 years of motorcycle clothing. The Nylons feature the all the characteristics of the original International but in a lightweight finish. Look for them in blue, red, and my favorite, yellow.

Michelle Obama Doubles Up on Shine
Michelle Obama piled on the metallics for her visit to the Treasury Department in Washington, D.C., today. She paired a shimmery floral skirt with a silver metallic belt, cropped white cardigan, and pink pumps. She also let her hair down after keeping it pulled tight all weekend, and topped off the ensemble with a double strand of pearls and glittery drop earrings.
