Michelle Obama Works Out, Readies Inaugural Gown for Smithsonian
Michelle Obama played soccer today in D.C. to promote her Let’s Move campaign to fight childhood obesity. And she wore workout clothes! They included black boot-cut yoga pants, a black, ruched, relaxed, long-sleeved tunic top, and either a black tank top or sports bra underneath. See the full look in the Michelle Obama Look Book. In other First Lady news, the white one-shoulder Jason Wu gown she wore to the inaugural balls will go on display in the Smithsonian as part of the First Ladies Collection on Tuesday. [AP]

Ballantyne Spring/Summer 2010 Looks
Fashionisto gives their take on the Ballantyne Spring/Summer 2010 collection. “The most recent lookbook from Ballantyne features Jakob Wiechmann. Bright and chipper, spring’s collection looks to the frequent traveler for inspiration, crafting accessible ensembles from light-weight knits, shorts and relaxed trousers. Tom Ford Recruiting Womenswear Designers
Tom Ford has confirmed he’ll launch womenswear under his namesake label. In October he announced he was looking for financing, and everyone in fashion who’s been positively shvitzing over his return to the ladies’ market wondered and hoped he’d come back for fall 2010. Seeing as the fall 2010 shows are almost over, that’s evidently not happening. But WWD has heard Ford is quietly recruiting womenswear designers, and may have an accessories specialist onboard.
But before he can get back to showing women where their boobs ought to be, Ford has a few penguin suits to worry about. He’s dressing Oscar hosts Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin for the live telecast. Surely other nominees and attendees will wear his suits, too.
Martin and Baldwin will wear:
… Tom Ford black, single-breasted tuxedos with grosgrain peak lapels, white pique front shirts, as well as black grosgrain cummerbunds and bow ties. And Baldwin apparently has a costume change, as WWD has learned he’ll also be wearing a navy blue, single-breasted tuxedo with a grosgrain peak lapel at some point during the ceremony.
Oh wow, a black suit and a navy suit! Ballsy fashion moves, Baldwin! Women’s clothes are definitely more exciting. Maybe that’s why Tom is moseying on back to us.

Megan Fox Does UK Harper’s Bazaar April 2010
Is Megan Fox trying to transform herself into something she is not in her obvious attempt at becoming Angelina Jolie? Sure Angelina managed a quiet yet successful transgression from wild child, lust object into the charitable angel, frenetically involved in noble causes. Now Megan? Hmmm.. she’d better keep her Young Angelina (poor man’s Angelina, like our friend, Ellington, said it so well) status. The world may not be ready for another charity bomb.
Covering the UK edition of Harper’s Bazaar, the April 2010 issue, Megan Fox is talking freely about her body and her intimacy in the inside interview. (the story continues with more images right after the jump!)
Swearing she’s going to faint at the idea of a one night stand, Megan Fox only knew two men in her life (I wonder, though: that was the life before or after the surgeries?) and that’s supposedly not to boost the sales for Harper’s, no-no! It’s just because she’s so honest about herself and so tired about the media portraying her into something she’s really not. I wonder how long till she’ll adopt from Cambodia or something? I was hoping for something new, something as fresh as the spring we’re waiting for a snow-eternity already! And Carine did that! Rose Cordero on Vogue Paris March 2010 is as pleasant as could have ever hoped freshness would be!
Talking about combat and the new khaki urban fashion, Carine showed us what fashion magazines are really made of. And I hope more follow her footsteps! Yes, it’s a bit dark for a spring cover/editorial, but oh! is this young gorgeous Dominican larger than life! (sure, looking back now, the McQueen belt around the neck is a bit sinister, but they couldn’t have known that at the time of the shooting so let’s close our eyes and move on, RIP Lee!
