#NYFW Eight Reasons We Loved The Heart Truth Fashion Show
1. Heidi Klum, Joan Collins, Estelle, Valerie Harper, Kimora Lee, Raven-Symone, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Jordin Sparks gave it there all in beautiful red dresses; so did nine other famous and fabulous women.
2. We didn’t pay attention to the Super Bowl, but we do know who Reggie Bush is and this evening the New Orleans Saint sat right in front of us to catch his girlfriend Kim Kardashian strutting her stuff on the runway.
3. Felicity Huffman looked a bit scared as she walked down the runway until she saw her husband William H. Macy. He got up to kiss her. “That’s when I really started to have fun and get into it,” said Huffman.
4. A very pregnant Bethenny Frankel wasn’t afraid to let her Spanx show. The Skinny Girl walked seductively as the bottom of her compression shorts peeked out from under her Isabella Oliver dress.
5. Olympic swimmer Dana Torres didn’t even try to walk in her silver sky high Brian Atwood heels. The statuesque athlete simply carried them.

#NYFW Jason Wu Fall 2010 Collection
Inspired by the work of Irving Penn, Jason Wu’s Fall 2010 collection relied heavily on textures and material opposition. Though we are used to seeing a decidedly feminine aesthetic from Wu, this season the designer used menswear influences including relaxed pieces informed by Penn’s personal style. Mohair and plaid jackets added a sporty element, while lace, white organza, ruffles, and feathers were fabulous frills. Gold foil accents adorned rich fabrics for a regal feel. With calming music playing in the background and the scent of fresh roses filling the air, we were transported into a tranquil fashion fairytale with Wu.

Yigal Azrouël’s fall 2010 show included a number of men’s looks, ranging from leather shirts and pants to drop-crotch sweatpants to asymmetrical jackets. The male models also wore their pants tucked into leather socks. So it’s not your average beer-drinking, chicken-wing-eating, football-watching straight guy fare. “I think they should take a little bit more risk, otherwise it’s so boring — it’s the same thing over and over again, you know?” Azrouël said backstage after the show. A straight man himself, he had some ideas for women who want to see their straight male fashion-fearing significant others in more fashion-forward clothes.
