Lisa Love’s Daughter Nathalie Stars in Olsenboye Video

At Wednesday’s Olsenboye launch this video, and a few other commercials, played on screens around the room.

The girls are very cute, and obviously not models; it’s both refreshing and encouraging to see real girls hawking clothes for real girls.

But turns out the blonde girl, who they call Elie, is actually Nathalie Love. Her mom, Lisa Love, is the West Coast editor of Teen Vogue and Nathalie just made a movie with Uma Thurman.

Adam’s Luxe Loop-D-Loop Skirt

adamskirts
The cut-out trend dominated the spring runway and we found ourselves wondering how wearable it would be. Then we saw this amazing skirt from Adam Lippes and we knew we’d found our match. Adam’s Cotton Tweed Loop Cut-Out mini, which is available in citron, black, and milk,  is both structured and sexy.  It’s the kind of piece that can transition from season to season with a change of shoes. We’ll take one in every color.

Kim Kardashian’s Fashion Week Schedule

kardashianatfashionweek
It’s hard to keep up with the Kardashians. With boyfriends playing in the Super Bowl, husbands on the court, sisters giving birth, and promoting random products, the family is always quite busy. But come New York Fashion Week, we know where Kim, Khloe and Kourtney will be. The Kardashian girls will be showing their Bebe Fall 2010 collection as part of STyle360 on Tuesday, February 16th at 10am. The night before they will party with the retailer and we’re expecting them to make several front row appearances in Bryant Park. Based on Kim’s obvious Herve Leger obsession, we’re assuming she will join the other pretty young things in Max Azria’s front row on Sunday, February 14th. We’ll let you know when we have our first sighting! ~Nola Weinstein

Designer Lia Kes Opens Bay Area Boutique

Fashion-file

Israeli born designer Lia Kes, whose eponymous line is carried in stores across the US and Europe, has just opened her first boutique in San Francisco. A true utilitarian, Kes’ fluid separates easily transition from day to night, are affordably priced, and embody youthful elegance. We caught up with the designer at her shop unveiling to ask her the practical questions about her favorite Bay Area spots.

—Erin Boyle

Favorite restaurant?
Terzo (3011 Steiner Street, 415-441-3200) has fantastic Mediterranean home cooking. All organic, clean, and full of flavor.

Favorite coffee shop?
Jovino (2184 Union Street, 415-563-1853). A coffee shop with attitude. The baristas are so edgy. It reminds me of New York!

Favorite bar?
The bar at La Folie (2316 Polk Street, 415-776-5577) is always full of surprises!

Favorite art gallery?
The Marina Abramovic Institute (575 Sutter Street) is a beautiful modern gallery with a touch of craziness and unexpected combinations.

Favorite book store?
Browser Books (2195 Fillmore Street, 415-567-8027) is small, quaint, and has everything I need…except a bed to sleep in.

Favorite place to take a Saturday stroll?
The Maritime in the Marina District. The sun’s rays are so clear and uninterrupted here. The swimmers swim laps with seals as if they were one species, while others fish and crab on the pier.

Where to catch the best view?
Strolling down the hill, from Pacific Heights toward the Marina, in any weather….Striking!
